As appointed ships disposal agents for the Royal New Zealand Navy we have been asked to sell these military spec, maritime security RIBs which are now surplus to requirement.
We have for sale 3 brand new units and 2 used units (which have less than 150 operating hours) and are seeking enbloc offers for all 5 units or parts there of. Vessels are offered AS IS WHERE IS, Auckland New Zealand and shipping can be arranged. We can guide closely on price expectations, but can advise that these units will be discounted for reasons of a quick seamless sale. The Gemini 7.3m sea boat is based on the South African manufacturers, Gemini Marine CC, standard 7.3m Wave Rider model, which was initially developed for operations in the rough sea conditions regularly experienced off the coast around Cape Town. Specific outfit and customisation of the craft has been undertaken by the Australian based company Britton Marine (Australia) Pty Ltd, who are noted as a specialist in the supply of RIBs for professional use, such as fast transport, military, coast guard, search and rescue, fire and police departments.
A number of different configurations can be achieved with the standard Gemini hull. The RNZN specified vessels are fitted with Foam Filled tubes, inboard Yanmar diesel and Doen jet drives. This configuration provides a robust, fast, highly manoeuvrable platform from which to operate. Some other particular options that are unique to these vessels are;
- Additional seating on the engine housing
- Orange coloured deck
- Provision for stretcher carriage on the engine housing
- Foam Filled Tubes (as opposed to inflatable derivatives)
- Cray Pot Hauler
- Optional anchor locker
- Chart table and light
